An old man is waiting to catch a bus, and a younger man with his seven year old son soon come to the bus stop to wait for the next bus of the same route to come as well The bus soon comes, the younger man and his son only a boy manage to get on the bus first and find the last remaining seats.

The old man who has a walking stick has no choice but to stand. The bus then takes off, and with the motion of the bus moving along the road the old man with a walking stick in one hand begins to sway a little but manages to keep his balance up-right The boy and his father are seated near where the old man is standing, the boy sees the old man sway and move a bit from the motion of the bus, then goes on to raise his head and says to the old man, "Sir, why don't you put some rubber on the end of that walking stick so when you use it, the bottom of it will grip better with the floor or ground you stand on.

" The old man passenger replies: "If your father had put some rubber on his stick several years ago, I would have myself a seat, and for the time being, I wouldn't need to consider putting a piece of rubber on the end of my walking stick, either!"
